teddyurb Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 Hellos i recently put boyesen stage 2 carbon fiber reeds on my 97 banshee thats bored over .02 with wiseco pistons, has k&n filter closed lid boost bottle fmf fattys with resonators, and stock carbs.I am running stock 260 mains and when i did a plug check over the weekend the plugs looked a lil on the dark brown with specsof black mixed in and you can see a bit of oil.In my opinion from what ive read on here im running rich.....correct me if im wrong. The instructions that came with the reeds say that they tend to make our engines run lean on the pilot, and richer on the mains.I ordered some 240s to try this weekend.Do you think that this is to small for what i am runing??Any comments appreciated.Pilots are 27.5s Quote
metricmaster Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 when i first got my banshee ith had fmf fatty pipes k&n pod filters and v-force reeds, with 240 jets and i ran it that way for over a year. Do ypur plug check with them when u install but if you are not comfortable dyno is the way to go, then you know for sure where your at and what you got. Quote
dajogejr Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 With a closed air box and lid, put the stock pilots back in. It may or may not be fine on the mains but the pilots could be loading up your plugs.... Here's how to check your mains, you must follow this to a T for accurate results. http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/plugchop.html Quote

This is the best way by far to check your jetting. Quote
