gentner8 Posted February 4, 2008 Report Posted February 4, 2008 Through my extensive travels on the net, I came across a jetting chart that gave some rough guidlines. More or less it said if you add pipes, step the main up 2 sizes.....or something like that. Has anybody crossed said chart and could they provide me with a link? Thankya! Quote
wacko2000 Posted February 4, 2008 Report Posted February 4, 2008 What brand pipes do you have...Let say you have toomey's, I believe if you go to there site they will have something for you.. List your mods here and there are planty of guys that will chime in and get you jetting pretty dam close... Quote
gentner8 Posted February 4, 2008 Author Report Posted February 4, 2008 That would work if I had stock carbs. I bought a set of DG 28Pwk's. Their tech support said the carbs are jetted for a stock bike at sea level with a set of pipes and silencers. I just need to tweak them for the Vforce 3's and K&N pods with outerwears. I will also soon have a boss billet intake. I just want to make sure its real close before I run the $hit out of it for a real plug test. Unless anybody else has this setup and can chime in. Im thinking 1-2 up on the mains. The bottom runs good, but ran better with the choke on when warmed up, but i havent tweaked the air screw yet. My neighbors make it difficult to test around here..... wacko2000 Posted February 4, 2008 Report Posted February 4, 2008 It seem like your on the right track, bump thr pllot one and the main2-3 for the pods and do a chop, then go from there.. even though they say lean is mean, rich is def alittle safer.. Quote
gentner8 Posted February 5, 2008 Author Report Posted February 5, 2008 Does going up that far on the mains require me to raise the needle clip? I assume that going up on the pilot and the main would also richen the middle? Quote
