tapout94 Posted February 3, 2008 Report Posted February 3, 2008 so... i have heard that toomey t5 pipes are the best you can get... they are obviously popular. but i was wondering if they are truely the best you can get. looking for some insight from you more experianced riders that have maybe tried multiple pipes, and have learned through trial and error what seems to work best. i will be doing alot of duning/hillshooting. any and all info is greatly appreciated. thanks! First, welcome to the HQ!! You only have a handful of posts so let me help you out by pointing out the search button on the top-right corner. This topic has been covered a gazillion times in a myriad of ways, but the short version is there is no one pipe that works best. Use it to help figure out the best setup for you by seeing what others are running with setups similar to yours---or what yours will be after your future mods within the same type of riding you do. Different setups work better with different pipes. A lot of people use T5, CPIs, Shearers, FMFs, Paul Turners, Trinitys, DMCs, etc. There really is no one best pipe. Pipe selection is a combination of what pipe works best with your mods in conjunction with desired power delivered at what RPM. It is easy to make a pipe that has the best top end only, but it will have horrid bottom end and mediocre mid. There is no free lunch and every aspect is a part of the combination. T5s are a good balance of those factors. Look at people's signatures and see what they run.... I just bought some CPIs and all I do is dune and hill shoot at Glamis!!
