bumper mounting changed?

Hey guys, I bought a bumper off ebay and it is brand new still in the box. It says it is for a 05-06 banshee??? and it doesnt line up at all!

I searched around to see if there was a change but I havent found anything in the forum.

Also, my banshee doesnt have bumper now or when I bought it. The bumper just mounts to the four holes right in the front of the frame right? 2 on each side facing towards the wheels?

 

thanks guys I just need to make sure before I send it back and look like an idiot.

I don't think the year matters. how much doesn it not fit? Is is name brand? I have had some that need a little help going on.

Like its way off, there is no way its the right one. The mounting bars on the top are about an inch to narrow, and the bottom doesnt even have bars that go to the mounting holes it just has a plate that looks like a skid plate, with the holes directly in the front.

 

THIS is the auction but of course it doesnt show the exact one. I have been watching though and they have been selling a lot of these. So I think I just got one that was boxed wrong.

the way you describe it and the way the auction reads, i think it might be a blaster bumper, but the picture in the auction looks like a banshee one, maybe when you purchase it you had to send a message on which one you wanted?

yeah maybe, but another thing is that on the box it came in it said both blaster and banshee bumper. I just assumed they were the same?? Maybe they are way different.

 

HMMM, anyway Im sending it back and getting the right one or my money.

i can tell you for sure the blaster bumper is diffrent, it has one mount on the top and a flat skid plate like thing on the bottom, almost sounds like you got a banshee blaster mix of a bumper lol

 

this is the only pic i can find of the bumper on my blaser to try and give you an idea of what the lower mounting of a blaster bumper looks like

Man thats got to be it. I have no idea what company would think this would fit on both.

This thing is a pretty big bumper I couldnt imagine it on the front of a blaster. It would be as wide as the tires!
