BIG B Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 My last thought was to put a 4mm crank and super stock pistons to get close to the 70HP range.... Instead I'm going to have a full race port (I got a quote for $350.00) an advanced timing plate, and a welded crank. Anyone know what the approx. HP will be with that setup? Currently my Quad has the following: Toomey T-6 Vitos Hemi Head with 22cc domes Air box removed with two 3X6 K & N's V-force reeds One thought I had was if I'm going to split my case why dont I just spend the extra $400.00 for a 4mm crank? It would depend on the porting and carbs etc... if i were you i would pony up the extra 400 or so for a 4mill crank you can sell your stock crank to help offset the cost a bit. Quote
dajogejr Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 Ask whomever is porting your motor what kind of HP roughly.... Also MAKE SURE you tell him that you are running T6 pipes, they do not like aggresive port timing or durations. I have no idea what "race" porting means...but your guy should be able to tell you the port timings and durations, if they're excessive from stock, the T6 pipe is not a great choice.... Don't be too pissed if your HP is only 55 to 60 HP.... Quote
gumby6t9 Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 If your looking for 70+ HP your T6 pipes are not the best choice... I'm not knocking T6's... I have and like them, they do what I need them to do! Hell of a lot better than stockers!!! Quote
