I have heard this too. But a rap 700 takes a 40mm carrier, banshees have a 35mm. Maybe it is a 660 axle they are swapping?

wow man read that post like 3 times, kept missing the post about the o3 blaster axle

My bad, thought they said something about that or remembered them saying something about it.

Blaster axle is narrower and I would assume lighter too. People do it to save money instead of buying a drag axle. It works well if you're not pushing a lot of HP, but once you start making some serious power, you should really look into getting an aftermarket drag axle. Lighter and stronger than stock, w/ full adjustability.

I don't know anything about the raptor axles...

the 03 and up blaster axle is around 3 inches shorter putting it about 28 inches in length if i rememebr correctly .it is plenty strong and yes its lighter than a banshee ,as far as power distribution with it,i have never seen any issue regarding that and i run it on my methanol cub. i think its a good mod if yo u dont have half a grand to throw at your rear end only to save probably 3 pounds over this setup ,just my opinion .

Any 660 raptor axle will work, and most blaster axle's also, blastes is alot shorter,I have seen one project where he had make a mount because it did not come all the way out on brake said i dont remember. But the reason for the shorter axle is not all a weight issue's it is for a Strighter lunch out of the hole, and also be able to move the bike with body english.. I have a JJ-A axle and runs down the track i really never have to turn mostly body english... GOOD LUCJK
