HotCarl Posted December 23, 2007 Report Posted December 23, 2007 I've been PCing some of my own shit and for my next bike I want to do some translusents and metalic colors that need a clear coat, and my question is can I do a clear powder on them? I havn't had any experience with 2 stage powders yet and I'm not sure how the first coat reacts when being baked for the second coat. Quote
sheerider1026 Posted December 23, 2007 Report Posted December 23, 2007 yes u can.. once the powder bakes the first time it is cured u can say.. it is better to apply the clear when the parts are still warm. i put my clear on when the parts is about 140-160 degress F. it tends to cover better that way,.. get a infrared temp gun..
