Washburn Posted December 13, 2007 Report Posted December 13, 2007 Well thats a Warroir for you, they arent the fastest quads out there and they are all lowend torque. You need proper jetting before you mess with your air/fuel screw but the stock warroir pipe is already pretty fat so it shouldnt be a huge jetting change with the slipon. Oil weight should be a 30-85 weight I always use 30 but you can get longer life out of a heavyer oil just let it warm up. You can do some head work on the warroir to make it a little faster I wouldent go buying big bore kits or anything like that for just trails unless you love the power that much and plan on sticking with it for a while. Banshee Chad Posted December 13, 2007 Report Posted December 13, 2007 I had an 87 until i bought my banshee in june. Thing is all torque, ride wheelies all day and climb and hard packed hill. Not the best in sand, infact, id get pissed every time i went to the dunes cuz it would just dig in and i couldnt clim anything for a long way. It will climb anything real short, but for long distance, nothing. It revs out right off that bat and thats why i had a hard time taking long hills. but it was awesome in the mountains. I had a cobra pipe, K&N, and a huge jet, think it was .30 ish?? I blew the top end, rebuilt and then bottome went out, taking the new top with it. Rebuilt the whole damn thing and had it bored as big as i could on the stock head size (380 i think, not sure there), and it still wouldnt climb for long distance. them old 4 strokes are nothing compared to the new ones! Hilarious Posted December 13, 2007 Report Posted December 13, 2007 them old 4 strokes are nothing compared to the new ones! That is pure fact. I used yamahlube 4R (10w50) in the warrior I had. It had supertrapp ids2 slip on, K&N intake and a dynojet kit. It was an okay bike. Dont remember what stock gearing is other than I know it has a 13th up front. And I think the air screw on the bottom of the carb was like 1-1.5 turns from seated. That was with the jet kit tho. Quote
shanYE west Posted December 13, 2007 Report Posted December 13, 2007 We used 20-50 in the summer and 10-40 in the winter. Quote
highroller355 Posted December 13, 2007 Author Report Posted December 13, 2007 thanks guys im actully thinking of putting a 1 tooth bigger sprocket up front give it a little more top end Quote
Washburn Posted December 14, 2007 Report Posted December 14, 2007 Ide just get some bigger rear tires like 22s-23s that way you never get stuck and you can go through anything. Warriors are gutless on top they dont have anything at all. All of the power the wardogs produce is lowend torque Quote
