Clutch Cover Question?

This weekend I put a new Duncan Racing Quick Change Clutch Cover in my Banshee. But when check my old Clutch Cover I see forgot put the little metal tube/cylinder between the cover and case (upper part on kick stater area) in the new cover. This tube/cylinder is necessary?

Do you mean the little deal one of the mouning bolts goes through? If so its just a peg to line everything up, should be fine without it.
