bladesracing Posted November 7, 2007 Report Posted November 7, 2007 I was thinking about buying a timing advance plate, but wondered if I would notice much difference. I have 4mm stroker with vforce reeds, 34mm kien carbs, ported stock cylinders, cool head, paul turner pipes. Quote
dajogejr Posted November 7, 2007 Report Posted November 7, 2007 Absolutely.... Play with 4 to 7 degrees of timing...see what your motor likes. Quote
bladesracing Posted November 7, 2007 Author Report Posted November 7, 2007 Should I expect significant gains like will I be able to feel the difference? Quote
xXBlessedWithDeathXx Posted November 7, 2007 Report Posted November 7, 2007 yes, you should feel it. i went +4 and noticed a difference. Quote
swrbansheeboy Posted November 7, 2007 Report Posted November 7, 2007 (edited) you can always mod your stocker and see if it's all it's cracked up to be. flywheel puller, 10 mill socket, a dremel and a steady hand will get you 4 degrees...dont forget the race gas just for good measure. better to start high and work your way back down than to detonate and blow it up...
