dajogejr Posted October 15, 2007 Report Posted October 15, 2007 Got a set of 39PWK alky carbs setup by cubshee, they are fuel pump type carbs. They have Dave Moore Super Jets in them...ready to bolt on and go. Either .120 or .122 dumps (I will measure if you'd like), stock needles and I can put 48 to 60 pilots in there for you, I believe I have every set of pilots in between that range. I also have .120 and .117 mains, you tell me what you'd like to have installed on them. Will have pics up later today. $350 shipped to the US, add 3% paypal fee if using that service. Will ship next day after payment is received via Fed Ex with tracking number, check my feed back on here and HQ. PM me if interested. Ran on my 10 mil cub all year, got Lectrons that I really like now, no need for these anymore. Quote

Coupelx Posted October 16, 2007 Report Posted October 16, 2007 what is the difference between fuel pump carbs and standard gravity fed carbs? Quote
dajogejr Posted October 16, 2007 Author Report Posted October 16, 2007 Fuel pump carbs require a fuel pump to fill the bowls...the seats on pumper carbs are small...however...they maintain a better supply, larger supply and more consistent supply of fuel which big motors drag racing (Wide open throttle) need. This is especially important when running alky...or methanol. You need to fuel the motor with twice as much alky as you would gas... The pump supplies fuel to the carbs, based on the pulse supplied to it by the motor. Gravity fed...well, fuel can flow into the carb as fast as it could pouring out of the gas tank via the fuel line...that's it. For bigger motors run in a drag race...on alky, you need more fuel. This can be done several ways...and in a combination of the following: Bigger bowls, better and free flowing fuel valve and/or a fuel pump. In some motors...the motor at WOT can suck fuel out of the carb faster than gravity can fill the bowls... That's why i like a pump..... Quote
