theshee Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 About the clutch... you dont need those rubber deals in there. Just get a TUSK or F.A.S.T. clutch from jeff and run it. Powerjets are real popular with alky, makes jetting real easy. Never used them on a gas motor, but I think they would work fine. For the price, yeah I would say they are worth trying. Quote

samc Posted October 15, 2007 Author Report Posted October 15, 2007 thanks for the help, i dont know what the rubber pieces are in there for anyway? what do they do? Quote
Bancheez Posted October 16, 2007 Report Posted October 16, 2007 (edited) the rubber "seals" in the clutch pack act like springs that help seperate "sticky" clutch plates when you dissengage the clutch. The factory probably did it to help smooth out the shifting... or to smooth clutch engagement  They are definately not needed, especially with an aftermarket clutch. RIPPEN Posted October 17, 2007 Report Posted October 17, 2007 thanks guys, has anyone ever used a tusk clutch? i might buy one because there cheap but i dont know they might fry up really fast. As theshee mentioned I would look to get a clutch from F.A.S.T. Racing.. I got mine early last year and had a HARD season on it then and a moderate season on it this year.. It has worked perfectly with no signs of problems.. Call Jeff and he will set you up as well as answere any questions you may have about it.. RIPPEN Quote
