robert.b.west Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 Anti freeze constantly is leaking out of the overflow from the resivore. When I look in the radiator it appears to be down an inch maybe a little more. I would go out with the resivore at the full line and come back and hour or so later and it would be at the low line. I have no clue what is going on. Can someone give me some ideas on what may be happening or if this happens to anyone else. Quote
Snopczynski Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 ok, heres what to do to see if you have a bad head gasket leak. Let the bike get cold and pull the radiator cap, then put it back on. Start the bike and let it run about 30 seconds then shut it off. Pull the cap and see if it hisses like there is pressure in the system. If there is, then you may be looking at a leaky head gasket. I had the same exact problem on one this last weekend. To verify it, I rolled the motor over to tdc and held the flywheel with the special motion pro pliers. Then I charged the cylinder with compressed air from my blow gun. I got bubbles in the radiator with the cap off. Other signs can be discolored coolant, or smoke coming from the radiator. Check this stuff then report back. Quote

That does make sence because after I got my head milled I had trouble with it sealing. It still may not be sealed right but I will check today and let you know. Thanks. Quote
