Hey I am looking for some one with expirence troubleshooting a Banshee Near Newport News Va.

I do not mind traveling a vcouple of hours. I am not expirenced w/ the 2 stroke and I am having difficulties.

I have a 2003 Banshee that I replaced the impellar w/ a Vitos aluminum impellar. I had a head gasket go and I replaced the head with a Noss unit.

I cleaned the mating surface and followed the installation directions. All orings went in apperently fine. I torqued in the correct pattern at the suggested torque intervals. I am still having the same head gasket symptoms. The local dealer said I could have a cracked jug, however they are not able to tie up shop time. I have gone to the shop several times bu obviously they do not want to get involved.

So I am looking for someone that I can take it to who can show me what to do.

Thanks

When I got it all together It starts hard and finally it runs. It backfires out of the right side and then it is puffing coolant thru the exhaust on the right side.

I run a compression test and the right is 147, the left 145.

I ran the compression test by installing the compression tool and kicking the motor over w/ throttle wide open until the needle reaches peak compression.

I pull the head and there was no evidense of the oring passing coolant but there was coolant in the jug.

Here is the background no here are my questions:

1. Was the backfire a syptom of coolant in the chamber or something else?

2. Should I take the head studs out and block sand the jugs top face?

3. If I have to take the studs out how do I do that?

4. Why would a compression test not show the head gasket leak?
