how to install the throtlle cables?

I TOOK OFF THE OLD ONE AND I DONTKNOW HOW TO PUT THE NEW ONES PLEASE HELP ME!

hopefully you paid attention when you took them off.. just reverse what you did when you took olds ones off.. hopefully if you have tors you got factory cables..

IDONT HAVE THE TORS SIST.I JUST DID THE SAME HOW I TAKE IT OFF WHEN I PUT THE CABLE IN THE THUMB THROTLLE IT SEEMS THAT IS TO LONG I PUT EVERYTHING THE SAME AS THE OLD ONE WAS.I DONTKNOW WHAT I"M DOING WRONG.

Have you adjusted the caps to sync the carbs? Do you have the right caps on the carbs?

yes i have the right caps.i just put everything back the cable is lose. i even got the old one next to the new one and is the same long.is there any adjustment for the cable?

how far are the sync adjustments turned out. do you have the slides in the right carbs? make sure the slides are all the way down. if not that will give you too much slack

THANKS. THE SLIDES WAS NOT ALL THE WAY DOWN.I DID WHAT YOU TOLD ME AND IT WORK. THANKS AGAIN.. :cool:

hey i did but i started and one pipe is cold and the other one is hot the right one is hot . cant you tell me was wrong.

One cylinder isn't firing.

One cylinder isn't getting fuel, spark...or has no compression.

Start with fresh plugs.

After that, clean the carbs out, since you already had them off.

 

Check for compression if both those get ruled out....
