TeamRealtreeHD Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 (edited) My buddy thinks his yfz 450 with pipes and k&n will take my new bike. My old 250r showed him how it was every time we raced. Now that I got the new one, he wants revenge. I beat him off the 250 but this banshee seems to be more gutzy and just all out balls. I have to wait for Saturday. What would you guys think? Hopefully my mods are showing up at the bottom. If not, I have no idea where to go to get them up. -NOS Machine Head with 20cc dome -Wiseco Pistons -Trinity Billet Stainless Stage 4 Exhaust & Silencers -Trinity Stage 4 CV Intake w/ 2 into 1 Carb -34 mm Carb -K&N Air Filter w/ Airbox Mod -Boyesen Reeds -AC front and rear bumpers -tag bars -steel braides lines and throttle cable Edited August 27, 2007 by TeamRealtreeHD Quote
TeamRealtreeHD Posted August 27, 2007 Author Report Posted August 27, 2007 I had to put them in there once again. I guess I don't know where to go to submit it Quote
SoCalinIt Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 You should be fine... If you can keep the tires hookin up!!!! Quote
Bansh-eman Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 your going to loose a little topend with that single carbs setup Quote
TeamRealtreeHD Posted August 27, 2007 Author Report Posted August 27, 2007 We usually race on asphault so I should hook up alright. I am a little upset this bike had this 2 into 1 carb setup but thats how I got it. It still rips though compared to my cousins who has the same bike, same year, with the stock carb, toomeys, pro design 22cc cool head and k&n. I really can't tell the difference. Anyways, can someone tell me where to go to put these modifications into my profile or "sig" as someone called it once? I keep having to paste it on the bottom. P.S. grounded Posted August 29, 2007 Report Posted August 29, 2007 Sorry , that carb set up does not lose any top end to stock carbs Quote
Bansh-eman Posted August 29, 2007 Report Posted August 29, 2007 Sorry , that carb set up does not lose any top end to stock carbs he didnt ask if thats a good idea to get these mods from stock. he listed the mods ha has and asked what we thought for a race against a 450. like said the single carb set you WILL lose some topend Quote
grounded Posted August 30, 2007 Report Posted August 30, 2007 Sure, whatever you say. AND I have never drag raced any 450s up olds with a single carbed 350cc set up. I guess a 450 has too much top end Quote
Bansh-eman Posted August 30, 2007 Report Posted August 30, 2007 well considering that banshee's are notoriouse for the lack of bottom end and now your going to throw a single carb setup ontop of that that sacrifices your top end.. it doesnt realy matter how much topend the 450 has, your already behind and trying to play catchup no bottom + no top= you lose Quote
grounded Posted August 30, 2007 Report Posted August 30, 2007 Well I guess you have your experience and I have mine. Quote

TeamRealtreeHD Posted August 30, 2007 Author Report Posted August 30, 2007 (edited) Well guys, this is settled. We raced and I won by 4 bike lengths and this was more than when I raced the same bike with my 250r. I guess this setup isn't all that bad. Hooked up, beat him off the line and finished ahead. I was pretty happy with this overall. Climbed a few hills and I must say that i can't tell the difference from my cousin's bike (same year, dual setup). I did find more bottom but couldn't even try to find the lost top end. Pretty good hiding spot I guess Named her "Delilah" by the way... My friends and I have been doing this to our sport quads since we were riding as young guns. Sarted after we watched the movie gone in 60 seconds. Fast cars, girl names.
