markyb31 Posted August 25, 2007 Author Report Posted August 25, 2007 What color are the plugs? Does it smoke at idle. I just took it for a spin around the block a few times and pulled the plugs. They are a little bit tanish brown with some dark areas here and there. It does not really smoke at idle to bad but a little. Quote
markyb31 Posted August 25, 2007 Author Report Posted August 25, 2007 No, it wont damage the engine. Just get it and lets try it out since you said it was cheap. I would like you to pull the carb apart and check the jetting and needle stuff in your current carb though. Does it run pretty good right now? I just pulled the carb apart. It has a 195 main and a 58 pilot. Is this ok or not? Quote

Thats close on the main, but that is a huge pilot jet. I run a 38 pilot jet in my pwk 35. What needle is in it? How many turns out is the air screw? Edited August 25, 2007 by Snopczynski Quote

I do not see any other writing except where the float valve goes there is a 34 on the brass piece the valve sits in. Air screw was about 1 3/4 to 2 turns out. Edited August 25, 2007 by markyb31 Quote
Snopczynski Posted August 25, 2007 Report Posted August 25, 2007 #2 is the needle, its in the slide. you gotta take it out to identify it. Quote
400rednEX Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 if you have an old rubber boot meant for a 33 or 34mm carb it might not work with the 38mm without ripping it. Quote
