Blake H Posted August 15, 2007 Report Posted August 15, 2007 So the other day i was driving around the neighbor hood on my Banshee, when all of a sudden it died on me. Before it died it acted like i ran out of gas but i had over a half tank. So i try to kick start it back on, but it wont start. And what is scary is that when i kick it over, i feel little compression but i feel some weird grind. Anyone have an idea what to do? Thanks Quote
Bansh-eman Posted August 15, 2007 Report Posted August 15, 2007 how old is the bike? whens the last time the topend was rebuilt? have you checked to see if your plugs are fouled? are you getting spark? has the bike sat ofr any period of time before riding it? list mods as well Quote
Blake H Posted August 16, 2007 Author Report Posted August 16, 2007 Its an 02. Some work would include bored .30 over, true weld crank, reeds, exhaust, 2-1 carb. Plugs are good. Top end was rebuilt recently, just did a compression test which turned out good. It just that one day it was running good, then all of a sudden it just died over. Everytime i go to kick it over, i feel a little compression, but i also feel a grind coming from the crank area. Any ideas still? Quote

trex banshee Posted August 23, 2007 Report Posted August 23, 2007 CHECK TO SEE IF YOU HAVE SHEARED THE KEYWAY AT THE FLY WHEEL. Listen to this guy, he beat me to it. But i bet the flywheel has come off rather than shearing the keyway. I've seen it many times. I put blue threadlocker on every banshee i work on. Quote
