baddsheee Posted August 4, 2007 Report Posted August 4, 2007 (edited) Just snapped a clutch bolt. Was able to get it out. Why did it break, I set the torque wrench to 7.4 foot pounds. I am not to sure on putting my clutch system back together. :shoothead: . I took it apart like 2 months ago when I blew my crank, and just putting everything back together today. I don't know how the push rod goes against the ball. Where does that phillips set screw need to be at. Ane do I tighten the nut on top of that or the springs first. Any help is greatly appreciated at this moment. Does it make a difference if I use another style bolt to replace the one I broke or does it need to be exactly the same? Just found a bolt identical, I'm gonna use it. My local steallership licks balls on having Yamaha parts in stock. Nearest decent dealer is 55 miles. Any tips on how to tighten the bolts without breaking them? Quote
