samdust Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 first what is stock hp on a banshee and 2nd what would u need to do to get a banshee up to like 60 hp Quote
Snopczynski Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 Why? We could give you factory rated hp, but unless you dyno the bike the same way the factory does and on the same dyno it wont be accurate. What are you looking to do to the bike? Or tell someone? What do you want the bike to do? Quote

sheefreak Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 A dune port will get you sixty horse....Hell, a good woods port would probably get you 60. Most people that have never ridden these things think a piped Banshee is about as fast as you need to go. People that I know that ride trail quads and such can't believe a Banshee can easily be made to whoop up on 450 and 500 dirt bikes... Quote
odaen Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 stock hp is around 36 or 37 with pipes, milled head, air filter, and some timing advance you can hit around 50ish add a mild port job and you'll hit 60 pretty easily Quote
Snopczynski Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 Well here is a ported 350 in my motor guys shop on a land and sea crank dyno that made a consistent peak 71 hp. Quote

Either way, I agree that about these mods being about 50 hp, and its easy to get even more than that. Quote

Thats why it sucks when people want to know this stuff, everyone thinks something different for the answer. I remember seeing in an issue of 3 and 4 wheel action about 7 years ago they stated the banshees stock hp in a pipe shootout was 34hp (that was on LRD's dyno though). Personally in a drag race, I think a stock 450 will whomp on a stock Banshee. Edited July 31, 2007 by Snopczynski Quote

However, it all depends on the dyno AND the guy running it.... 60HP can be very, very easily attainable on a banshee and be reliable all day long. Bolt on a stock stroke, 65mm bore Cheetah or cub cylinder. Even with trail pipes and stock carbs they'll EASILY make over 60HP...probably closer to 75ish. Quote
