burleybanshee Posted July 25, 2007 Report Posted July 25, 2007 How long does the 927 last once mixed in fuel. I've heard some say it starts to break down right away and you should use it within a week or two. Others have said it lasts a long time. Help please? Second question, what is the shelf life of vp110 race fuel? Quote

Second question, what is the shelf life of vp110 race fuel? For the fuel issue.....I like to only buy enough for the weekend, but if kept in a sealed VP can it should last quite some time. Like most all of the summer or so. As for the 927.....just shake/mix the fuel when you are ready to use it. I always have a little 927/alky mix left over in the spring from the last season. I just shake the hell out of it...Good to go!!!! Quote
Snopczynski Posted July 25, 2007 Report Posted July 25, 2007 fuel about 4-6 weeks in a sealed plastic container. I have ran the oil up to the same time on 927. Quote

Fuel in a sealed metal container is good for about 3 months or so for sure. I have even used it after it has sat all winter. I would assume this has been mixed and in a race jug if your asking about 927 at the same time? Quote

I use old vp fuel cans for my mixed alcohol......A bit of a pain.....but I know my fuel stays fresh!!!!! Quote
Hilarious Posted July 26, 2007 Report Posted July 26, 2007 I have those pos walmart cans and i've let fuel sit for a couple of months and just shake it up before re-fueling. I wouldnt let it sit too long tho. ive been using renegade 110 and some of that turbo blue stuff and i've let it sit in the container for a couple weeks at a time and it seems to burn well. Quote
burleybanshee Posted August 1, 2007 Author Report Posted August 1, 2007 Thanks for the info. Just didn't want to put old stuff in and the oil not be good. Cheaper to throw it out and go fresh than rebuild a motor. BUt I will use the stuff I have thats about a month old. Just got back from Pismo. The shee ran like a stripped ass ape now with the 35's on it. Quote
