My banshee is over heating really bad . its a fresh motor and the first hour it did't over head but know that i got 3 to 3.30hrs i got it ,its over heating , I need help fast have a big race coming up next weekend

 

1 Rad is clean, some fins are bent but not alot ..

2. Stock grill so it should be getting lots of air

3. running engie ice in it

4 jetting is pretty much right on maybe a little rich

5 mods are in sig

Thanks for the help .. is it time for a new oversize rad ???

need to check the waterpump impeller,its a PITA to get to but its more than likly the prob.

 

 

Does that mean i have to take off my clutch cover

Ok i took the covers off and started the shee up the impeller was moving around when it was going ... whats next on the list to look for

did you check to see that the fins are all there/good and the drive pin and gear are not stripped?

Theres your next step,I had one that looked fine but there were some worn fins,not broken off completely or missing just wore.It did OK out in the open running good speeds but when I let it idle and putt around it would overheat.

did it start over heating all the sudden or have you changed to riding at slower speeds in tight woods because the banshee is famous for that. try new coolant billit water pump impeller for quicker flow, and a cool head
