downNdirty Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 i didnt want to post this, but since i was unable to run a search. here i am posting this. my porblem is that i have alot of oil in the air box and obviously all over the air filter. does anyone know or can try to explain to me why that would happen. and what can be done to fix it. i know it cant be normal. please help. its been one thing after another since i rebuilt my bike. i didnt do any motor work. during the rebuild i was just just replacing what i broke from my accident. when i took the motor off the frame i had to remove the carbs. thanks in advance for any information Quote
racer Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 it could have been that at one point the box was filled with you gas, which evap'd leaving the oily residue? maybe Quote
black sunshine Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 Do you stand your bike on the grab bar for cleaning or loading? That would do it! Quote
