MDS2106 Posted July 18, 2007 Report Posted July 18, 2007 Well awhile back I burnt a hole in one my pistons.I took my cylinders to the local yamaha shop they measured the bore and told me that I was in spec.that i could just hone and replace the pistons.I replaced with a new set of .020 prolites from weisco after the breakin period I noticed that I would loose power as the day went on .Come to find out my cylinders need to be bored out to the next size and I was lossing some compression.I have ordered a new set of .030 over weiscos and someone can get a great deal on the set I had in my bike.These pistons just saw the breakin pereiod and two rides before I pulled them out.They are in great shape, I will throw in 2 new piston clips.I woiuld like to get $60.00 shipped for them thats less than half of new ones.
