so its about 30 40 degrees hotter than it was last time i rode the shee and when i kicked it over and let it warm up i noticed alot more smoke than usual. when i stab the throttle it revs good and sounds good but it shoots a cloud of smoke when the rpms drop. now ill admit i suck at jetting so any advice will be appreciated. by the way im at sea level 80-90 degrees mods in sig. :thanks:

I jet mine, so that for every 10-15 degrees increase in temp, I decrease the jet size by one size. Try going down one, or two sizes, and do a plug chop to check the jetting.

I've ran no smaller than 340's with your set up (besides 19 cc domes, not 18), temp, and elevation. A little rich, but it ripped. I'd definately do a plug chop. 310s seem lean at any temp with pods and T5s at sea level. 30 pilot is rich. We run stock pilots with T5s, 27.5 with FMFs. Just have to choke it a little with the T5s.

thanks man. yeah i had 320's in with 27.5 pilots and it was rich as hell. my jetting has always been pretty good but this is the biggest temp jump ive had to rejet for  anyways i plan to do some tuning once i do my plug chop. thanks again.

Stock needle in stock position? You may bump the main up and raise the needle clip to fine tune. We usually leave the needle stock and work on the main, but I have leaned the needle out a little before. You'll definitely know if it's too lean (the needle). It'll surge and then run like crap through 1/4 to 1/2 throttle.

i also have older gas in it probably 3 months is that too old? but yeah stock needle stock position. it didnt have half the smoke last time i rode it and it has been sitting for awhile. usually i get it dyno tuned but last time i had it jetted differently was when i had my motor rebuilt so he didnt want to throw a new motor on the dyno.

edit: trick 114 leaded race fuel if that matters. castor 927 oil.
