SEBanshee Posted July 11, 2007 Report Posted July 11, 2007 I've decided to pull the engine apart and get my crank welded. The engine is completely stock right now, but I plan to change that. But should I finish breaking it in before I go pulling it apart? I know it sounds like a stupid question, but I figured I'd ask just in case. Thanks. Quote
dajogejr Posted July 11, 2007 Report Posted July 11, 2007 If you've already rode it for a 1/2 tank of gas....it's already broken in. However, I wouldn't tear it down to weld the crank...then tear it down later to do your engine mods. Do them all at once. I completely agree the stock crank needs to be welded. But if it's brand new...and you have mods up coming, and it's 100% stock right now....I'd wait and do it all. Quote
SEBanshee Posted July 11, 2007 Author Report Posted July 11, 2007 Thanks for the reply. I guess it would just be smarter to just do it all at one time. I never thought about doing it like that. Quote
