FireHead Posted July 7, 2007 Report Posted July 7, 2007 hahahaha.. you will be an outcast with out a mullet... just make sure you take plenty of beer and hopefully you have a rv for a quick nap before the race You don't see too many mullets anymore at the races. You do see a bunch of fat women beating all of their 10 kids while swearing at the husband, that I am sure ran off. :ermm: Quote

I was there for part of the 500, but I had to fly out on Saturday. Of course that was one day too late as Saturday was when that picture that showed up in NASCAR Weekly was taken. :ermm: Quote
MILO Posted July 8, 2007 Report Posted July 8, 2007 i cant even watch nascar on espn... but when your there its real cool... same here. i think that you need to go to a race to really appreciate the whole nascar scene. i've only ever been to dover, but it was enough to get me into nascar for a while. watching it on tv only though pretty much sucks, but it's pretty impressive at the track. same with hockey. on tv it gets boring but nothing compares to being at a game with a bunch of rowdy fans. Quote

I suppose soccer might the same as well, though I have never seen it in person and I can't stand it on TV. If you haven't been to a NASCAR, or NHRA race in person, IMO you need to do it. Both of those race series don't cost munch for admission to grandstand seating and if you even like cars a little bit, it will blow your mind. Quote
csrmel Posted July 8, 2007 Author Report Posted July 8, 2007 i spent a couple hundred on the ticket. over a hundred in gas. $30 in food 12 hours of driving and i didnt even get to see the race. my dad started drinking again after he promised to quit. he was acting like a dick again and i didnt want to be around him so i left before the race even started and went home. fuckin $400 down the drain.
