This isn't directly related to a banshee. I've got an 07 Yamaha BIg bear and put a 2 inch lift kit on it... Does this void my warranty? I'm having C/V boot issues,, One has a small pin hole in it and After washing it i noticed it was popping Sounds like bearing are out.. I've got 120 miles on it... its Brand new... I've had some issues at the yamaha dealer, but i was wondering if i had put the lift kit if it would void my warranty. I dont want to bring it in if it will. I may have to take the lift kit off of it..

THanks. Derrick

More than likely they will not fix the cv under warranty, sa the increased lift puts strees on the cv's because of the increased drive angle.

I doubt it. Once you do modifications to alter the mechanics of the machine, the warranty is usually voided. You can call and ask though.

Precisely. But a bigger issue than that is you rep with the dealer. If you haven't bought anything from them don't expect anything. On the other hand if you have a frequently used account and carry a large balance or make large purchases try some sweet talking. We did more than one warranty item like that for certain customers. Also if they won't do it, try approaching a mechanic independently and seeing if he will do it on the side. I have done, and have had done several things like that, and its much cheaper.

gimmeabeer stole my thunder. try going to another dealership and talk to the service manager/writer there. or you can bring it here or shoot me a PM with the VIN and ill call yamaha and see what i can do. if you go to another dealership have the guy that handles the warranty claims call the tech line and tell him to get hold of Greg on the tech line. Greg is the shit and will usually good will it if is not "covered" under warranty. (Jasper should be in Greg's reigon) If not i am located about 80 miles east of houston. hope this helps
