Okay, got the shee back, and it's running MUCH better than it was, but for as much money as I put into it, I'm really not impressed... the midrange power is decent, but it still doesn't have any snap down low, and when I get up into 5th and 6th gears, it just seems to want to bog. I'm told that it should easily pick the front end up at least up to 4th gear, and it still barely wants to wheelie in 1st. Seeing as I just completely replaced the entire top end (including the jugs and heads), I can't imagine that it would've already puked something there in just a couple hours of break-in time, but I still can't be absolutely sure what the issue is. Here's what's been modified on the engine:

Trinity pipes

single 35mm pwk carb with K&N

VForce reeds (I think they're from the 1st series)

4mm stroker crank

Modquad cool heads

The guy who did the top end replacement for me told me that the single carb would cause it to sputter down low until it hit the powerband, but it seems to me that the exact opposite should be true... I'm wondering if he might've jetted it wrong... otherwise, I'm not sure what the deal is. Does the engine come alive after it's properly broken in, is it just the way my setup's made to run, or is something else the issue?

Your jetting is probably way off. I have no experience with the single carb, so I'm not much help there. Have you checked the compression? Put in fresh plugs?

Okay, an idiot is me...

I checked the plugs, and one of them was fouled bigger than a baseball hit 500 feet straight backwards.

Threw in a new plug, fired 'er up, and she ran AS ADVERTISED.

I think the problem was, I was putting around with it too much before, and it doesn't like that.
