Joshtruction
Do you have to RPM match down shifts? I gather engine braking is bad. What happens if you down shift a gear and don't give it quite enough gas for a split second to get the motor pulling in that gear, Will it damage anything? dajogejr
Split second? NO.... You just can't let the engine slow the bike down, on the gas or on the clutch. This is with a dunable, by the way...with a drag over ride, as said...you pretty much have to come to a crawl to downshift. Honestly, unless you're going to be drag racing most of the time, or at least the majority of the time....wait for an override...
bansheefreak
is A 2-5 A 3 speed or was that A typo ...I assume you go w/ 2-5 to have taller ratio's? (over 1-4) ya you basically have taller ratio with a 2to5 over a 1to4.. with a 2to5 you pretty much gotta be dead on with your gearing.. wesw had a 2to5 and it was awesome but he went with a 1to5 for more options on gearing..
