dajogejr Posted June 22, 2007 Report Posted June 22, 2007 ya thats what i was thinking but if u take off the air filter and run ur finger threw there theres no sand or enything i do have tors removed When you tightened the new caps on the carbs....did you hand tighten them...or use a pair of channel locks. They only need to be snug by hand. Use the L Brackets to hold them in place. I've seen them stick before because the caps were too tight.. Quote
SandShots Posted June 25, 2007 Report Posted June 25, 2007 what intake and filter you runnin? if its a K&N double check for rips, if sand gets in, it can cause your slides to stick. Quote
shanYE west Posted June 25, 2007 Report Posted June 25, 2007 stock carbs? might want to check the cable at the junction box and make sure the housing is good.. somtimes it can break apart and the peices get stuck and wont let the cable seat right in the housing.. seen it happen a few times.. Quote
wesw Posted June 28, 2007 Report Posted June 28, 2007 take some scotch brite or emery paper adn clean the edge of the slide and the bore of the carb. there is some casting marks on the slide that some times stick. my stockers did the same and after cleaning them up they never had a problem. might be worth a shot.
