MILO Posted June 22, 2007 Report Posted June 22, 2007 Where is the best billet impeller i should get? i've had the pro design for about 3 years now, no problems. rocky mountain atv has pro design and modquad both. rocky mtn. Quote
KaosBanshee44 Posted June 22, 2007 Author Report Posted June 22, 2007 I knew they had a modquad but i forgot the other brand, i just ordered one off ebay brand new with hardware so i don't know if it is modquad or the other. Hell i've heard good things about both of them i think a billet impeller is a billet impeller. Does it really keep the motor cooler or what? Or is that just a sale pitch! Quote
dajogejr Posted June 22, 2007 Report Posted June 22, 2007 Does it really keep the motor cooler or what? Or is that just a sale pitch! Matter of debate no one can give concrete answers to.... The billet impeller is more of an insurance thing...sooner or later the plastic stocker will deteriorate, and then you're screwed.... Quote
MILO Posted June 22, 2007 Report Posted June 22, 2007 yeah i'd be lying to you if i said it actually kept my bike cooler. i really have no idea. but like dajogejr said, it's more of an insurance item. i think the pos stocker was destined to fail. at least you have some peace of mind with the billet ones. IMO if it aint broke dont fix it...... Dan Quote

I'm sure his drag bikes are apart after just about every other time out, replacing and checking parts. Some people leave their motors together for years.. Besides, the impeller shaft is steel, for the billet or plastic impeller....if the orings are gonna wear grooves in on the shaft, what difference does it make what the impeller is made out of?? Quote
