05 Shee LE, FMF's, Pro Flow with K&N, FMF Boost (probably worthless), and thats about it other then 290 mains. I am ready to step up the power but where do I go next, I am assuming reeds but I want more than that. I ride alot of State Parks in Ohio for the hill climbs, do some drags, and ride MX when I get a chance. I am looking for a little more top but I would really love some low end fow the hills. Any suggetions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

If you want a low end hill climber, get a 7mil crank and run it on your stock cylinders. It would be a hill climbing sucker. There is a fella at Walden that has a 7mil, its not the fastest dragger, but it is a low end monster.

sell your FMF pipes and get PT mids. raisew the compression to suit how much you are willing to spend on fuel (race or pump gas..), good mx port job, and a 4 mil stroker crank. the 7 mil stroker crank will be WAY expensive. The stroker crank isn't neccassary, but it will help.

Thanks for all the help fellas, again I am still kinda new at this, can you guys give me a rough estimate of roughly the crank and port will cost, I just want to get an estimate. Thanks again guys.

port job: ~$250

4 mil crank (trued and welded): prolly close to $500

PT mids: $800 for chrome (with silencers), $620 for bare finish (with silecers)

coolhead w/ domes: $250

pistons: $120

bore/hone: $100

all seals and gaskets: ~$90

stronger clutch: $100

single carb (optional): ~$350 for a used one on ebay, $500 new

if you want a 7 mil crank it will be close to a $1000 for the crank i beleive, and i think its around $100 to have the cases trenched so the crank will fit. And it'll prolly cost more for the port work if you get the 7 mil crank, cuz the cylinders will need A LOT more work to get the port timings back to where they should be..

and if you're not comfortable taking your apart and putting it back together, that runs another $200-$300.

That is simply not true... If you shop around a little you can get the 7mm for very little more then the 4mm.

Call some builders, they will beat that price.
