peterlocal22 Posted June 7, 2007 Report Posted June 7, 2007 hello, i put a good size slice into the rubber boot that protects the ball joint in my lower a arm. not sure what to do about this. any advice would be appreciated. thanks Quote
dajogejr Posted June 7, 2007 Report Posted June 7, 2007 RTV....but the joint is non-replacable. Just know you're gonna have to replace the whole arm, sooner or later... Quote
MDS2106 Posted June 7, 2007 Report Posted June 7, 2007 I ran across these on e-bay awhile back. Might be worth a try while the joint is still good... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/YAMAHA-BANS...sspagenameZWD1V Quote

He said boot, not the joint itself... It's really self explanatory...and you're gonna be cussing up a storm. You'll get a boot and a clip that looks like a key ring. It coils around 3 or 4 times, and it's a bitch to get on. Two small screwdrivers work well... I had to do this putting the tie rod ends on my drag bike... It took a few beers. Quote
