leeyamos Posted June 16, 2007 Report Posted June 16, 2007 just got the tank  no template, but the install is easy - very simple cut on the plastic. I scanned the install info - but I guess it's too big to attach when I resize it - the resolution is crap. any suggestions? Quote
ClimbAnyHill Posted June 17, 2007 Report Posted June 17, 2007 where can i find a good looking tank.? Bansheeman has his blue 4.0 IMS one up for sale, you'll never find those used or at a good price. You should grab it before someone else does! Quote
leeyamos Posted June 17, 2007 Report Posted June 17, 2007 Here is the Clarke 5.5 - the cut was easy...the toughest part was getting the fit  Quote
leeyamos Posted June 17, 2007 Report Posted June 17, 2007 here is the info of the plastics cut with the Clarke... Quote

Seem different than what I looked at a year ago. Or maybe because the tank is shadowed in the dark. Beside fuel capacity... I like the fact this tank has the vents like the tank shroud you removed  How many riding hours are you getting from it? Quote
Flash and Flare Posted June 17, 2007 Report Posted June 17, 2007 Were there cooling issues with the older IMS 5.6gal. tanks that did not have the vents molded into the side like the OE tank cover did ? F&F Quote

F&F I don't think so though the vents do help. I think you still have enough vent area behind the rad. Like my IMS 4.0 won't make it overheat. Something else is making overheat right now  Quote
