theshee Posted May 26, 2007 Report Posted May 26, 2007 I got the tors off, got everything unplugged and I can not get my wifes banshee to idle. You can hold the throttle where it needs to idle, and it will slowly bog and die. Do I need to change the pilot jets or whats the deal? Quote

5150banshee Posted May 26, 2007 Report Posted May 26, 2007 did you drill out and tap the new idle screw kit into the carbs? Quote
KaosBanshee44 Posted May 26, 2007 Report Posted May 26, 2007 I just installed my TORS kit from Motion Pro and shockingly i got the kit that didn't come with the idle adjustment.(which by the way i ordered thanks to BHQ help) But after i installed it my bike still idled but not to my satisfaction. Soooo maybe you have a problem with the slider and pin, maybe cable conections. Quote
wesw Posted May 26, 2007 Report Posted May 26, 2007 most likely you put that screw, and nut on and now its not going into the bore enough. remove teh nut for a bit and see if it works, then grind the carb boss down like a 1/8 more so you can get the screw in the bore more with the lock nut. Quote
theshee Posted May 26, 2007 Author Report Posted May 26, 2007 The pilots jets were completley plugged up so I cleaned them out. They are all drilled and lefts the slides far enough. It really isnt only the idle it just doesnt run on the bottom end right. I will fuck with it this weekend and see what the hell. I should have just threw the stock carbs away and got some keihin carbs that actually work. Quote
