okbeast Posted June 25, 2007 Report Posted June 25, 2007 Would any heat lamp work, is that all it takes to cure PC is heat? B/c I'm trying to find a way to PC my a-arms and the temps that the big ovens get to are supposedly not good for the balljoints in the stock arms. If there was a way to use a heat lamp to cure the PC that would be a pretty damn good option for a-arms. Quote
allstarbanshee Posted June 26, 2007 Report Posted June 26, 2007 It depends how hot your heat lamp gets.. Powder needs at least 300 degrees to do its "flow out" a heat lamp you would constantly have to move to cover all angles, I own a powdercoat shop and have done both sets of A arms on my 04 and 05 Banshee and have no probs with them, I clean out all the old grease from ball joint, tape up powdercoat adn re grease, the 04 banshee was done over a yr and a half ago and still working fine. I live and own a shop in west central arkansas I get bout $65 for a set of all 4 A-Arms. Just a thought good luck. Justin Quote
okbeast Posted June 28, 2007 Report Posted June 28, 2007 Yet another story of someone PC'in a-arms and it working. Might have to give this a try this summer and see. Quote
