I sync my carbs as close as I can by eye. I use a feeler to even tem out on idle, then eyeball to make sure they lift together. Larger cuttaways run a carb leaner, and smaller richer. Make sure your cut away is facing the rear of the bike. Quote
qboronyrican Posted May 25, 2007 Author Report Posted May 25, 2007 how do you use a feeler to even them out on idle???? Quote

fastrthnu Posted May 25, 2007 Report Posted May 25, 2007 not while the bike is idle-ing. turned off filter(s) off air box off, on the idle screws or if no screws where ever it (slide) is seated with no throttle,. measure to see if they sit the same hight. after that, make sure they lift off at the same time side by side all the way up. Once you fix that, if you still have a bog,. adjust your air screws 1/4 turns in or out. if that doesnt fix it, do a plug chop to make sure your main is right on, then adjust your clip position, then air screws again. qboronyrican Posted May 25, 2007 Author Report Posted May 25, 2007 are they(sliders) supossed to sit on the bottom just touching carb bottom(leaving no space/hieght)......whats the hieght supposed to be?? Quote
fastrthnu Posted May 25, 2007 Report Posted May 25, 2007 if they hit all the way down,. it wont idle. they have to be raised a little. there is no specific height,. just enough to idle it. Quote
qboronyrican Posted May 25, 2007 Author Report Posted May 25, 2007 well shee idles pretty good so i guess thats not the problem its just as you hit the gas just off of idle.....ill have to try adjusting the air screws and see if that has any affect....right now they are at 1 1/2 turns out Quote
