Ok so I just bought a used FMF fatty exhaust. My bike has no work done to the motor at all. Stock motor stock carbs and even stock air filter and box. What I need to know is what jet kit I need? And do I need to replace the filter and air box? Actually I think I did order a k@n fliter with a outwear. Damn I dont remember. I just dropped over a grand this weekend on parts and I cant remember everything I ordered. anyway. Another question. Does filter and box make a difference when it comes to the jet kit? Any info would be greatly apprecated. AND thank you for your time.

You should have gone with the K&N filter pods...would wake your shee up unless you ride a lot in water... Anyways....before you buy the jet kit see where your jetting is after you install the new filter. More than likely you'll have to rejet to a bigger main jet since you'll be pulling more air with the K&N filter..More air means more fule needed.

Thanks for the info guys. I will be riding through puddles and streams from time to time. So I should go with a regular filter and not the pods right?

yes^. if your bike hasnt had any mods done to it yet, and you put fmf fatties on there and filter and try to run it to see what it runs like,. Ill tell you,..... very very lean. If you going to leave the stock airbox on which Id recommend for in water and mud, you can still flow it alot better with a pro flow adapter leaving the lid off. A starting point for your jetting would be more helpfull to give with an altitude and temp range.

Yeah if your gonna be going through water i would just get a regular K&N for the stock air box. That's what i have on mine but i don't want it i want the double k&n filters on mine so i'll sell you my air filter if you want it so i can get the double filters.
