Hello banshee riders,

I'm from Holland and i'm going to buy a sportsquad. But i do not know which one to buy. A banshee or a raptor. Which one handles better? Which one is faster?

Please help me out...

Depnends on the riding you do. I wouldnt have a banshee if I didnt ride dunes. I love the shee for sand, but my raptor 700 is nice for everything else. Stock for stock, the raptor kills the banshee on speed and handling. (It should though, its 2007 technology vs. 80s technology). If you want a maintance free quad get the raptor, if you have the time and patience, get a shee. Guess Im lucky because I have both, but really you cant go wrong with either one.

Hi Wes...welcome to the HQ.

As said, both have their own sets of pros and cons.

Box stock...I would take a new 700R over a banshee.

It does more better than the banshee does.

It handles better, easier to ride...etc.

However, if you're gonna ride sand and wide open areas...and plan on modifying the bikes...the banshee really shines once you start to open up the motor (exhast, porting, carbs, etc.).

I'd say bolt on mod vs. bolt on mod...the 700R will be a quicker bike. But once you go beyond that, banshee hands down.

A 4 poke might not need major service as often as a banshee or other two stroke does...but, when it does it costs more money. So...a little money more often or more money less often.

They're both good bikes...it really depends on what you want to accomplish with it.

Ya, unless you are doing suspension mods right away, the 700R will have better suspension than the shee. But if it is sand you're ridin' in, I'd go with the shee. Plus I would rather rebuild the shee than the Raptor......................

thats a hard question there two totaly diferent machines. i have both and there both a good quad.the banshee is way up there on the fun side of riding, its a great quad but the suspension is not as good as the raptor, and you have to ride the banshee, it responds well to mods and theres tons of parts out there for them. on the other hand the raptor is easy to ride because its a four stroke and responds well to mods also,it can be fast and handles well also. i like them both i think you should ride both and see whitch you like the best. either one is a good machine just depends on what your using it for . i only ride sand on both of mine
