If stock, you will be fine. If you are looking for a fast fix, just go back with a stocker. Brandon Quote
fastrthnu Posted May 15, 2007 Report Posted May 15, 2007 arent there pistons with wrist pins closer to the dome for that? or smaller rod end bores? Quote
fastbanshee8 Posted May 15, 2007 Report Posted May 15, 2007 arent there pistons with wrist pins closer to the dome for that? or smaller rod end bores? The 795 series Wiseco pistons, and Blaster pistons are for the 115mm long rod, and a stroker crank must either use a spacer plate, or cut domes, to make up for the added crank throw. If you have a long rod stroker crank, you need cut domes, and 795 series, or Blaster pistons, for it to work. If you use the 795 series pistons with a stroker crank, you will have problems, because the wrist pin is moved up 5mm on the pistons, and on the 4mm stroker crank, the crank pin is only moved out 2mm. The pistons would be 3mm shy of the top of the cylinders, which would lower your compression a lot. Quote
badassbanshee479 Posted May 15, 2007 Report Posted May 15, 2007 to get the most power out of adding the crank, you need to have the cylinders ported to match the stroker crank, and you need to get a set of cut domes. I do not like the spacer plates you can buy, I view them as just one more thing that can leak, that and it gives away the fact that you have a stroker motor! Quote
