jlsparky7 Posted April 20, 2007 Report Posted April 20, 2007 The mods I have are in my sig, I also have a g-force axle on its way in. I ride ALOT of trails and plan on hitting the MX course a couple times this year to see if I like it (which im sure I will), im a finatic when it comes to jumping. So here is what I was thinking to give my motor a low-end bite. I would also like to keep the shee a sleeper (keeping the stock look). Paul Turner mids (get them bare metal and powdercoat them black) Head milled .020 (plan on running 94 oct whats the most I can mill?) Cylinders ported .020 over (with wiseco pistons and mx port job by rb racing) Crank trued and welded Removing the lid 15/41 gearing with an o-ring chain (im at 13-41 now and the gears are too short for mx) Maybe a 33mm single carb later on Any suggestions would be appreciated. Once I get the pipes im going to send the guts out to R&B and see what he reccomends. Quote
J-Madd Posted April 20, 2007 Report Posted April 20, 2007 Timing advance +4.........then check compression to see if you need a mix of race gas. If the compression is too high (>150 psi or so), you can back the timing back off and stay with 94 octane. I had a head milled 0.020 and I had right at 150 psi, with +4 timing and it ran fine on pump gas, but that's borderline. Quote
jlsparky7 Posted April 20, 2007 Author Report Posted April 20, 2007 Cool thats what I wanted to hear. Ill have to look into an adjustable plate too. Quote
dajogejr Posted April 20, 2007 Report Posted April 20, 2007 What have you already done to the suspension? If nothing, leave the motor stock, get +2 +1 a arms, better shocks all the way around.... Quote

dajogejr Posted April 21, 2007 Report Posted April 21, 2007 I must be blind...didn't even see that when I posted earlier (you're not playin tricks on me...are ya? ) Are you going to be racing against other banshees in MX? If not, you're pretty much at a disadvantage to a stock 450 on a track, out of the crate. Quote
