blubeast Posted April 13, 2007 Report Posted April 13, 2007 Alright my bike is already piped and jetted when I bought it. Here is my problem the guy doesn't remember what jets so I have no idea what I'm running and I don't like that. Is there a specfic type you would run with pro-circuit exhaust? and Is there a better exhaust than this one, its all banged up didn't take good care of it....So I would like to replace it.. -Austin Quote

You can tell your main jet size by taking the float bowl off the bottm of the carb. there is a little hex shaped thingy in the middle holding a small plastic shield. It will have a number in it that is your main jet size. There is another small hole that has a hole in it made for a flat tip to unscrew it out. Thats your pilot jet. the hole that you needle goes into is the needle jet and your needle itself has a size and taper marked on it. Pro Circ are good low/lid range pipes. depending on any change in airflow, will efect jetting. A direct replacemnt, you probley wont need to change it,. but another pipe will most likely need a change in jetting. Also do a search for "plug chops" Quote
dajogejr Posted April 13, 2007 Report Posted April 13, 2007 Get a clymers and learn how to dissasemble your carbs, you're gonna need to do it one day or another. Second....do a search on pipes here. There are a TON of pipes for the banshee, from mild to wild. Depends on how and where you ride, and what is done to your bike, mod-wise... There is no "one pipe is best" of all pipes...each has it's own up and downsides.... I think if you research a tad, you'll find out what you need to know... Quote
