  1. 2000 BANSHEE Bought 2 yrs ago from original owner. Rebuilt the engine bored .40 over, weisco pistons, Mikuni 28mm flatside carbs, pro-circuit exhaust(came with bike). Bike is not fully assembled it needs the t.o.r.s. eliminator kit and various nuts and bolts(were lost in move). The frame was sandblasted and powdercoated matte black, the a-arms and swing arms were painted blue. Still has stock suspension from 2000, seat needs to be recovered other than that the bike should be ready to go. I just need out of it, I don't have the time to build it and moving on with life so need it gone. I am located in Hattiesburg, MS I cannot meet anyone anywhere to see or buy it, I have no way of transporting it. $1500obo. Pictures were taken before I tore it down.
  2. the bike will be used for drag use, i just got my hands on a utility four wheeler for the trails. sorry to with hold the pipe info. What about jets?
  3. i just take mine to the local quarter mile, they just told me to wear a helmet and jacket, and i'm good to go...
  4. i'm running pro circuits right now, with a k&n drop in filter. I'm wondering if there is a better air system as well as exhaust system. If the silencers get completely under water, can it hurt the baffles inside?
  5. Is there a way to get a good power range all the way through? My set up is nothing more than stock everything except bored .40 and the carbs as stated below, the time is +4 and thats it. I'm not sure what my elevation is, but I'm located in Mississippi a 100 miles north of the gulf of mexico, so its hot and humid. The bike will be used as a starter for doing some drag racing, but it will still see the trails till I can afford more upgrades.
  6. Alright so I have had my engine bored .40 and I went with mikuni 28mm flatside carbs. What reed, jets, air filter and exhaust set up should I go with? Any suggestions from the experts would be great!
  7. I have just upgraded to those, and then had to stop working on it for a while due to moving. I'm new to this so it completely left my mind that i needed the tors eliminator to do it. I'm lame, haha
  8. Awesome thanks man.
  9. Ok for those that are going to tell me right off the bat to use the search tool. I have and I still can't find what I need, here is the situation. I tore the bike apart in January of 08, I have moved twice sense and haven't had the time till now to sit down and actually work on it. I tried my best to keep everything together and tag everything. The motor when I started the rebuild was bored .40 with mikuni 28mm flat side carbs. I can't for the life of me remember how the gas gets from the tank to the carbs? Also what do I need to replace the t.o.r.s. because i was planning on doing away with this item. Any help would be awesome and I am a complete noob at this so go easy guys....
  10. Does the track have a website. I live in Chattanooga area and its only a 2.5 hour drive from here, I'd love to start riding there but not sure I'm going to have the bike ready by then
  11. yeah this looks like it would be a blast. How do we go about finding out if we have tracks located near us?
  12. I REALLY WANT TO BUILD A DRAG BIKE, IS THERE ANYWHERE AROUND THE CHATTANOOGA AREA THAT HAVE DIRT OR SAND DRAGS?
  13. Well a buddy of mine has a 450r with pipes, filter, and a couple more mods(not sure of the details). I have a 8 year old banshee that has never been rerung(yes I know this is not good, but hey when it blows i have a excuse to rebuild). He would get me outta the whole, but once into second i pulled him and there was no chance for him, everytime. Sooo, something isn't ticking right in your bike. This was on a actual quarter mile dragstip as well...heheh
  14. I just moved up to chattanooga, tn. Not real sure where to go and ride yet, working on figuring that part out.
  15. ok thanks alot
  16. where can i get these from? and thanks for the reply!!
  17. ok i know this is a really old thread but i just bought my banshee and all the shocks are completely gone and i have some replacing to do....these are the type of conditions i ride in, dirt a lil mud, like to do the jumps...what is considered flat track? I'm not scared to get anything dirty because dirt washes off... When ya'll say +2+1 a-arms and swing arm what does this do for you in the long run?? i know what the a-arm and swing arm is, just not sure how it benefits the ride? I was looking at some shocks and notice they come with or w/o the resavoir which is better to have? What wheels are good to get for jumps i don't want some that will bend easy... Thanks -Austin
  18. where do you get engine ice from? whats the diff. between the ice and regular coolant?
  19. what size would be recommended for jumping?
  20. Is the container behind the airbox an overflow for the coolant or the actual resavoir and is there a special coolant you have to buy or will water just work?? -Austin
  21. Thanks for the info guys, and i'll check those sights out for sure and try to get some pictures posted up!
  22. Alright my bike is already piped and jetted when I bought it. Here is my problem the guy doesn't remember what jets so I have no idea what I'm running and I don't like that. Is there a specfic type you would run with pro-circuit exhaust? and Is there a better exhaust than this one, its all banged up didn't take good care of it....So I would like to replace it.. -Austin
  23. Hey guys my name is Austin and i have just purchased a 2000 banshee with k&n filter, pro-circuit pipes, and jetted not sure what jets or size. I don't know much about these things so i'm here for a little r&d and to pick everyones brains. I plan on stripping it down and restoring the bike. Now for the questions: Where are the best places for parts, Where to go to see good power gains? I'm not big into the moto-cross or sand dunes, pretty much just want to build an rediculously fast four wheeler. Any help would be greatful! -Austin
