spike Posted April 12, 2007 Report Posted April 12, 2007 when i took my shee apart i to change my cracked case i forgot to mark wich piston goes where, now im about to put it back together and im wondering how important it is to put them back in the same hole. I haven't ridden much since the last rebuilt, maybe 10-15 hrs. And im going to put new rings on them. What do you guy's think? By the way they are wiseco's if that matters. Quote

CenCalBanshee Posted April 13, 2007 Report Posted April 13, 2007 If it was me I would want to be sure which hole they went in. not too sure if it makes much diffrence but when you break in the motor the rings seat to that paticular barel and switching them make cause the rings to chatter and break but I may be wrong. Also the cylinders become tapered as they start to wear. to be on the save side I would put new rings in. IM not positive on this so I would wait till someone else chimes in! Quote
