too_fazt Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 im looking at buying a bike, the owner doesnt know whats done to it because he inherited the bike and doesnt want it....iv driven it, and it makes my ported bike look parked compared to it. my question is is there anyway of telling if a bike is stroked and/or bored without actually taking off the cylinders and looking at the crank. thanks Quote

Pull the head and see if the domes have a machined offset in them to accomodate the deck-height of the pistons due to the stroker. The serial number on the pistons should tell you if its a long-rod or not. Quote
