Three things:

1.)Don't type in all capitol letters because no one will read your post and reply to it.

2.)Not rejetting the carbs after installing the CPI pipes more than likely has made your engine run extremely lean. If you have been riding the bike around like that for any period of time you can pretty much count on the top end of the motor being ruined.

3.)What are you running for an air filter and porting?

I really don't know what to reccomend. I have never run a setup like you have with a stock air box.

You should probably keep this all in the same thread.

Mark...in his other post (as you're probably readin now) he has a 16 TOOTH front sprocket.

I think we've found the problem.

I didn't realize it was the same guy. I was just responding in the other thread to your post...............and I had to flip back and forth between the threads as I thought I had double posted, entered a parallel dimension, or something equally strange. :drag:

why is a 16t sprocket a problem, i ran the bike last weekend in an 1/8 mile track and i beet most of the quads there, but the bike was not running to its potential it couldint launch because it would pop up and if i would get a good launch it would spin all 1 and 2 gear, bike ran a 8.7 at 78 mph best time of the night

1/8 mile pavement or dirt?

Pavement I'd bet...and there isn't much resistance, rubber to road...so, you can get away with that kind of gearing.

You specifically said it's running great up until the top of 6th gear.

It's one of two things. The jetting is lean on the top end...or you're geared too high with not enough motor to pull it.

Being it's a stock motor...I think it's geared to high. But, a plug chop done properly will tell.

If the plug is white after a proper chop, increase the main 2 sizes, then do it all over again.

He is obviously way lean if he didn't refet between the FMF and CPI pipes.
