Flaminchiten Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 I have a 99 banshee that is currently stock except for the previous owner replaced the intake lid with a K&N filter. I am planning on switching over to the K&N pod filters that attach right to the carbs, I know the previous owner rejetted when he replaced the lid with a filter. I was wondering if I will need to rejet for a change to the pods from the stock box with a filter inplace of the lid. I will be riding it at sea level and dunes only. Quote
dajogejr Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 Yep, probably 1-3 sizes on the main, and will probably have to turn the air screw in 1/4 to 1 turn. Quote

Thanks for the reply, I figured I would but wasnt sure so I thought I would ask someone smarter than me about it Looks like I'll order a jet kit with the pods so I can tune in the jetting. Quote
dajogejr Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 Jet kits, IMO...are a waste of money and too generic. Just buy three sizes bigger than you have in there now...main jets are about 4 bucks each. Do a plug chop properly, see how it runs. Go from there.... http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/plugchop.html Quote
