sheescreams710 Posted March 21, 2007 Author Report Posted March 21, 2007 time to clean the carbs it has a stuck inlet needle how do i get to the inlet needle? Quote
Blewbyu Posted March 21, 2007 Report Posted March 21, 2007 how do i get to the inlet needle? well first you just need to take the carbs off. then unscrew the four screws holding your bowl on. then if i were you since it sounds like you are pretty new to this stuff. hose it all down inside with brake clean, or carb clean. and try that, and if it continues to leak you might have to disassemble the carb. not to hard just dont want to lose anything. try that and let us know Quote
Blewbyu Posted March 21, 2007 Report Posted March 21, 2007 and the inlet needle he is refering to is probly the needle and seat. Quote

ClimbAnyHill Posted March 21, 2007 Report Posted March 21, 2007 ok i tried hosing the carb down with carb cleaner and its still doing it. now wat do i do? did you open up the carb? When removing the 4 upside down bolts holding the bowls [carb bottoms] will come appart. Spray down the float bowls. You'll also see the jet right under the carb & you can un screw it. Clean that jet out, the needle sits right above it. Spray it all with carb cleaner. It's a new bike so that should do it. Quote
sheescreams710 Posted March 21, 2007 Author Report Posted March 21, 2007 Thanks everybody for all your help! I got the carb fixed and shee purs. I had to adjust the float hieght a little and that was it. It runs like a new bike again. Quote
