Dave I. Posted March 17, 2007 Report Posted March 17, 2007 I bought a motion pro clutch tool today. I am replacing the stock clutch with a FAST clutch. I dont quite understand how this thing is supposed to work. I am assuming the little ears stick into something. It looks like it could mesh with the ears on the clutch basket but I didnt want to bend the clutch basket by mistake. If you have used this tool before and know how to use it give me some ideas please. Thanks Dave Quote
Bansh-eman Posted March 17, 2007 Report Posted March 17, 2007 you mean this tool? its used to hold the inner hub so you can take the whole clutch off. if your only replacing your plates you dont need it... pull the pressure plate off slide the old plates out and stack the new ones on after soaking them... Dave I. Posted March 17, 2007 Author Report Posted March 17, 2007 Yes, that is the tool. I am also installing a new shift star so I need to pull the hub off. I need to get a 32mm socket and I can finish taking this thing apart. Thanks Dave Quote
Bansh-eman Posted March 17, 2007 Report Posted March 17, 2007 well if you havent figuered out how t use it... pull the pressure plate off, take out the old plates... adjust it to the inner hub... clamp it down... bust the nut loose... and pull everything off... its pretty ez... the nut has alot of torque on it so it mightbe hard to bust loose Quote
